Firearm Transfer Policy

Tombstone Tactical is pleased to assist customers with both incoming and outgoing firearm transfers. To help ensure a smooth and timely process, please review the following guidelines before initiating a transfer. 

Inbound Transfers (Firearms Shipped to Tombstone Tactical) 

Customers may purchase firearms from other Federal Firearms License (FFL) dealers and have them shipped to Tombstone Tactical for transfer. 

  • Once a firearm is delivered to our store, please allow 1–3 business days for processing. 
  • We will contact you when your transfer is ready for pickup.
  • To avoid delays, the sending dealer MUST include a copy of their FFL
  • The recipient's name and contact information MUST be included

 Transfer Fees 

  • $50 for the first standard firearm 
  • $15 for each additional firearm picked up at the same time 
  • $100 for NFA items requiring Form 4 completion (suppressors, SBRs, AOWs, transferable machine guns, etc.) 
  • $50 for each additional NFA item completed at the same time 
  • Non-firearm items (ammunition, optics, parts, accessories, etc.) are subject to a $25 storage and handling fee 

Hold Policy 

  • Firearms will be held for up to 90 days after we notify you that the transfer is ready for pickup. 
  • Customers will be contacted periodically during this time. 
  • If the firearm is not picked up after the final notice and grace period, it will be considered abandoned and may be acquired into Tombstone Tactical’s inventory. 
  • Non-firearm items will be held for 30 days under the same notification process. 

Discounted Transfer Fees 

Military members, veterans, and first responders (law enforcement, firefighters, EMS) qualify for discounted transfer rates with valid credentials: 

  • $25 standard firearm transfer 
  • $50 NFA transfer 
  • $15 non-firearm transfer (Additional firearm fees remain unchanged.) 

Outbound Transfers (Shipping a Firearm to Another FFL) 

Tombstone Tactical also offers outbound transfer services for customers shipping firearms to another licensed dealer. 

  • Firearms must be unloaded and brought to us in a case or box 
  • Please allow 1–3 business days for processing and shipment 
  • Required Information:
  • Recipient’s full name and contact information 
  • Receiving FFL’s name, address and if possible a copy of their Firearm License, or have them send a copy to: ffls@tombstonetactical.com 
  • Valid driver’s license or ID from the sender 
  • Transfer & Shipping Fees:
  • $50 standard firearm transfer 
  • $100 NFA transfer 
  • $15 for each additional firearm shipped at the same time 
  • Shipping costs are additional and vary based on destination, size, and weight 

Discounted Outbound Transfers 

Military, veterans, and first responders receive discounted rates of $25 for standard firearms and $50 for NFA items. Shipping Insurance (Optional) 

  • First $300 insured: $2 
  • Each additional $100 insured: $1 

Additional Notes 

  • Ammunition cannot be shipped with firearms and must ship separately if requested 
  • Customers are responsible for ensuring firearms comply with all applicable state and local laws for out-of-state transfers 
  • Refunds are not permitted if a firearm is refused or rejected by the receiving FFL or recipient
