Our History
How the shop started
Brian Smith opened Tombstone Tactical in 2011 as a small operation built on straight talk and honest advice. He came to it with a military background and a real love for firearms, and he started the way you build anything that lasts: one customer at a time. He focused on relationships, took time with every question, and earned trust at the counter. Word got around.
What began as a modest counter grew into a full gun shop stocked with popular American guns and hard-to-find collectible firearms, plus optics, ammo, and accessories for Arizona gun owners. The store has grown a lot since then. The way we treat people when they walk in has not changed.

Longtime gun owners, active military, and law enforcement professionals shop with us too, and we make a point of helping every buyer stay compliant with state and federal law. We would rather talk you into the right firearm than the expensive one. Education, safety, and customer service are the things we care about most, and they shape how we run the shop every day. FAQ
Can I buy online and pick up in store?
Yes. Order from our online store and choose in-store pickup at the Phoenix location. We will have it ready and handle the paperwork when you arrive.
Do you handle FFL transfers?
Yes. If you buy a firearm online from another dealer, have it shipped to us, and we will process the FFL transfer. Bring a valid ID, we run the required background check, and you take it home once it clears.
Is there a fee to ship ammo?
Ammo and some other items ship with a hazmat fee that covers safe handling and transport. The hazmat fee is shown at checkout before you pay, so there are no surprises.
Can a first-time buyer get real help?
Always. Our knowledgeable staff walks first-time buyers through the whole thing, from picking the right firearm to the paperwork and safe handling. Bring your questions.

We stock handguns, rifles, and shotguns from names like Smith & Wesson, Kimber, Savage, Ed Brown, Remington, Ruger, Glock, Taurus, Springfield Armory, and Sig Sauer, plus ammo and accessories to match. Stock changes often, so ask if you are after something specific.
Do you offer pawn loans or layaway?
Yes. We offer pawn loan support and layaway on eligible items, so you can get the firearm or gear you want on a schedule that works for you. Ask our staff about terms.
